With a broad 6.4 mm core and an extra-thick wood case, MegaColor Pencils offer plenty of saturated color and a comfortable form factor. Made by Cretacolor, a pencil company that traces its roots to 19th-century Vienna, these artist colored pencils have a soft, wax-based composition.

Each MegaColor Pencil is heavily pigmented, so they make brilliant marks. They can be layered thickly or in subtler gradients, depending on how you hold the pencil and what part of the broad tip you use. They can also be sharpened to a fine point for detail work. 

Pro Tip: Try blending your MegaColor drawings by firmly layering a pale color (like white or yellow) over the top. The waxy core of the pale pencil will smudge and mix the marks underneath.
